This is the founding year of the Philadephia Dialogue Program, founded by the Youth Task Force. Its goal is to build public dialogue on how better engagement between residents and the City of Philadelphia can promote unity, resilience, and civic engagement. The aim is not only to create a campaign to promote the safety of residents and create the necessary opportunities for people to live and work in the neighborhoods that make up Philadelphia, but to also develop strategies for ways to make this work at the City and Commonwealth level. On Thursday, August 22, The Dialogue Program will be hosting a city wide conversation.
The program is a collaboration between The Youth Task Force, the City of Philadelphia and Pecan Street Studios. The head of the Youth Task Force, Deirdre Mathern, joined us on Mondays with Marlo to talk about her work with the group, the vision for the Philadelphia Dialogue Program, and her ultimate goal.
