Madonna has hit out at Instagram for failing to take down “unsavory” comments that were being left on her most recent posts.
The musician, who has been the target of online trolls in the past, issued a message to the site asking that the comments were removed “immediately.”
In a string of Instagram stories, Madonna said: “Would love for your people to get more aware and not confuse abuse with satire. And to ALL the rude haters, creeps, slimy trolls, cyber bullying a**holes, the yellow-eyed lunatics that make violent threats- last word.
“This is about fake harassment being aimed at ME… Not you!”
I want to keep Instagram clean, nice & family friendly🤔this is a small letter to Mark Zuckerberg & his people, to keep things like this out of my feed. If I had posted a profile pic and description tag @instagram (am I still allowed to? Stop looking at my page & tag them) from the beginning it would be no problem. Im SURE you can find an old profile pic & description too. It doesn’t make me an idiot. Or a bad actor. Or appear to be manipulating YOU. Or anyone.or of any gender.or race. End! I read some comments wtf are you comparing me to? My opinions in that post were told in a very toned down way. And I should probably have put them higher up. Now whats to delete. Flippin whatever. And Im personally ASHAMED by the folks who make life so hard for fellow artists. Not just celebrities but ALL of us. I wish people would back off so that we could all take it easier and enjoy life.
