Recent graduates have a hard time establishing themselves in today’s job market. Today, they’re still using lists of undergraduate majors to list their potential schools of employment when the job market for graduates is tougher than ever. There are many places in New York City that offer unique bartending experiences, a skill that is rare to find in working in corporate environments across the world. Even as the workload ramps up, many young professionals are still willing to take some time to indulge in a cocktail of their own. There are plenty of great cocktail bars in Manhattan, and the opportunities for just that are greater now than ever before. Most notably, the Millennials are getting closer to a perfect bartender balance, as they experiment more with ingredients, techniques and recipes, taking inspiration from veteran bartenders and bartending classes. To be a bartender in today’s New York, it is essential to be able to work with new flavors, techniques and flavors. That’s why we at Sourbarque, a startup that creates new and innovative cocktails for restaurants and bars, decided to compile this list of some of the best places for aspiring bartenders to hone their craft.
